Landing Page Template
A landing page has one job: trade something valuable for an email address. This is the structure — six elements, in order — plus a worked example for the 7-Point Listing Price Check. Build it on any free page builder; the words matter more than the platform.
The structure
1. HeadlineThe outcome, not the thing. What does the reader get? (Not "Free Checklist" — "Price your home right the first time.")
2. SubheadOne sentence: who it's for + what they'll get + how fast. ("For [area] homeowners thinking of selling: the 7 pricing checks I run before every listing — in a 2-minute read.")
3. Three bulletsSpecific benefits, each starting with a verb. ("Spot the pricing mistakes that cost sellers weeks on market." "See exactly what I look at before I suggest a number." "Walk into your listing appointment already informed.")
4. Email field + CTAOne field: email. Button text that completes the sentence "I want to…" ("Send me the checklist").
5. Social proof slotOne line. A client quote, a number of downloads, or your honest credential. Never invent one — borrow credibility honestly until you earn your own.
6. What happens nextOne reassuring line under the button. ("I'll email the checklist right away. No spam, unsubscribe anytime.")
Worked example: the price-check checklist
Price your home right the first time.
For [your area] homeowners thinking of selling: the 7 pricing checks I run before every listing — free, in a 2-minute read.
- Spot the pricing mistakes that cost sellers weeks on market
- See exactly what an agent looks at before suggesting a number
- Walk into your listing appointment already informed
Send me the checklist
"The checklist made our pricing conversation so much easier." — [client first name, with permission]
I'll email it right away. No spam, unsubscribe anytime.
Keep it to one screen. If a visitor has to scroll to understand the offer, the offer isn't clear enough. Twenty seconds to read, one decision to make.
